The following project regarding the design of an illustrated guide of posters, from the compositional analysis of printed advertisements of Guayaquil from 1920 - 1975, was born due to the need to have a visual, categorized and explanatory resource about posters and advertisements created in the city of Guayaquil during a specific period, which serves as a visual creation tool for the student, publicist, future designer, creative or anyone interested in knowing about the visual legacy of this city. For the fulfillment of this objective, an illustrated guide is implemented where different branches of graphic design and history communicate, with the intention that the final product is visually attractive, functional and reliable to the historical period in which it develops, thus covering the lack of organized resources that exists today about issues related to the history of advertising and posters in the city of Guayaquil.
